Mohamood Cabdi Noor

Dr. Mohamood Cabdi Noor is a refugee from Somalia who works at the World Bank. He has a distinguished background in Somali academia and government, having served as the Vice President of Somali National University and Dean of the College of Agriculture. Additionally, he served in the Somali government as the Vice Minister for Agriculture.

The authors collaborated to ensure the booklet was culturally accurate and useful for those working with the growing Somali diaspora. Their joint work was supported by the Bureau for Refugee Programs of the U.S. Department of State. The booklet features additional linguistic contributions from senior linguists like Dr. David Zorc.
